CIAJG Conferences | Eglantina Monteiro
Thursday 18 April, 18h00

Contemporary art and museography are the subject of reflection once a month at the José de Guimarães International Centre for the Arts, which invites Portuguese and international artists, curators and theorists, for its regular conference programme. After the inauguration of the first exhibition cycle of the year, which includes the exhibitions Variations of the Savage Body: Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, photographer and Carõ – Crowds of the Forest (a project by João Salaviza and Renée Nader Messora), reflection on the Amerindian thought goes on in March with a conversation where the anthropologist Ana Morim de Lima share the experience of the material and immaterial culture of the Krahô Indigineous and their field work done for the exhibition. In April, the anthropologist and curator Eglantina Monteiro will lead us through her field experience in the Amazon.
