FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER, 10:30 AM
A Teia da Ilustração

The challenge of conceiving a Wimmelbook, a silent picturebook with multiple characters and intertwined narrative threads, poses to the illustrator / author as a space-time for the materialization of the imagined and the inter-textual warp. This lecture will start from the author's own workshop experience, sharing fragments of the various phases of the project, in the creation, writing, planning, experimentation, technical execution, revision and finalization of this type of book. The subsequent analysis will allow a little better understanding of the methodologies used in the creation of a book in which the linear space-time axis of the narrative is broken to lead the reader to give voice to different characters and to follow multiple plots, which intersect and contaminate. “The Web of Illustration” is a cycle of lectures dedicated to illustration and aimed at the general public, secondary school and university students, and artists with a keen interest.
