"This Performance Surrounds Hatred and Forces It to Surrender" is the result of an encounter grounded in listening to different communities in Guimarães. Emerging from a shared reflection on democracy, freedom, hatred, and difference, this is a participatory creation that seeks, more than to provide answers, to question, debate, and reflect on these themes—and on ourselves.

A língua através da qual grande parte da comunidade surda em Portugal (cerca de 30.000 pessoas) comunica entre si. A expressão "língua gestual" refere-se à língua materna de uma comunidade de surdos. As línguas gestuais são línguas naturais, que surgem e se desenvolvem naturalmente, como as línguas orais. É produzida pelos movimentos das mãos, do corpo e por expressões faciais.
