Assembleia (Plant Revolution!) reunirá em torno de Thing 000777 (Da Vine), uma controvérsia entre o Centro Internacional de Lei Ambiental (CIEL), a Coordenação das Organizações Indígenas da Amazónia Brasileira (COICA) e a Coligação do Povo Amazónico e seu Ambiente, por um lado, e o Departamento de Patentes e Marcas Comerciais dos E.U.A. (USPTO), por outro, acerca da patente da planta Da Vine utilizada para a bebida ayahuasca. O encontro contará com a presença de um grupo de especialistas, incluindo o fitoterapista e curandeiro Alberto Suarez Chang, a ecologista Joana Rafael, a psicóloga Maria Carmo Carvalho, a antropóloga Rita Natálio e a advogada Anabela Carvalho.

Assembly (Plant Revolution!) will gather around Thing 000777 (Da Vine), a controversy between on the one hand the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), the Coordinating Body of Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon Basin (COICA) and the Coalition for Amazonian Peoples and Their Environment and on the other hand the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) concerning the patent on the plant Da Vine used for the ayahuasca drink. The gathering will be in the presence of concerned practioners, including phytotherapist and healer Alberto Suarez Chang, ecologist Joana Rafael, psychologist Maria Carmo Carvalho, anthropologist Rita Natálio and patent attorney Anabela Carvalho.
